Working with bwvp
We like to think we're easy to work with. If you're considering us for your wedding video, we recommend stopping by our studio in Decatur for a face to face meeting, just to make sure you agree that we're easy to work with.
Here's what you can expect if you ultimately decide to work with us:Before the Wedding
Since the videos we produce are more on the
creative end of the documentary filmmaking spectrum, it's always a good idea to have an understanding of where the bride and groom are coming from ahead of time. We develop that understanding during a consultation before the wedding (either on the phone or in person if you're local) in which we'll discuss your wedding, your ideal video, and all the logistical details of your wedding day.
During the Wedding
On the day of the wedding, our primary goal (aside from gathering beautiful, well framed and exposed footage with good audio) is to be as unobtrusive as possible. We shoot exclusively with natural light and use a long lens as much as possible to avoid the need to get physically close to what we're shooting. We don't use invasive video lights and we don't ask your guests to talk to the camera (unless you want that). Most of our clients remark that they didn't even notice us at their reception.
After the Wedding
Depending on the type of package you ultimately go with, it can take us anywhere from two to twelve weeks to edit your documentary. The first thing we do is edit and publish your wedding trailer to a custom webpage for you to share with friends and family. Then we edit together a captivating documentary of your wedding day. We include four copies of the finished product in High Definition on Blu-ray disc (or on DVD if you prefer).
